Hollow steel is a cold-rolled P-design profile that is about 2mm thick and is hollow inside. It’s what you see online with prices. Mostly intended for secondary structures such as sheds, barns, pool houses and homes where the door or window won’t be the main or exterior. Solid steel is a 5mm thick hot-rolled profile featuring an “L” design that is the timeless slim narrow look every designer is after! Also available to be thermally broken for cold climates.
No. Although also metal, aluminum is an entirely different product with a completely different look and feel. Aluminum will have much wider profiles and frames, feel more sleek and modern (similar to commercial storefront windows and doors) and lack texture. It is more affordable, versatile and available to be made hurricane proof for impact-rated requirements such as Florida & Miami Dade!
Yes! Being a factory-direct boutique manufacturer of window and doors, we do not keep any windows or doors in stock. We custom make everything regardless if the size is standard or not.
Because every product of ours—big or small, standard or custom, is made to order, we ask that you please plan for at least 18 weeks for production and allow extra time for delivery.
All of our steel is galvanized and powder-coated! Higher-end solid steel and thermally broken profiles are also coated with zinc-magnesium for extra protection.
Thermally broken windows and doors are manufactured in a way so the the exterior frame and the interior frame does not touch each other, therefore not conducting any heat from the outside. The ensures maximum insulation in the winter for cold climate regions and full compliance to modern regulations.
